Dragon Age: Dreadwolf expected to release 'later this year', industry expert says

EA and BioWare are “pretty confident” that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will release later this year.

This is according to industry expert Jeff Grubb, who said on yesterday's show Messy Play Podcast that while it was unclear when the game would be shown, “it will be released this year.”

“Suspect [Dragon Age: Dreadwolf] ]will probably appear this summer,” Grubb said (thanks, wccftech). “I don't know when she will show herself, but [I] I assume it will be shown sometime this summer. Although it could happen at any time.

“It will be released this year, last I heard,” Grubb added. “They're pretty sure about it. It doesn't mean it's a guarantee (it could fail), but right now, internally, they're hoping to release it later this year.”

In December, BioWare released a new teaser for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, only to later say that the game won't be fully revealed until summer (Q3) 2024.

The short trailer lasts just 50 seconds and shows some nice sights: the port city of Antiva is bathed in evening light, the coast of Rivain is washed by azure seas, Anderfels is in the middle of a storm. As Victoria described at the time, it's all “very Dragon Age.”

“Enter Thedas, a vibrant land of rugged wilderness, treacherous labyrinths, and glittering cities, steeped in savage combat and secret magics. Now, your destiny teeters on the edge of a knife,” the trailer description reads.
