At the beginning of the show, Lucy lived inside Vault 33 with her father and brother. She is quite an active member of the shelter community and is involved in teaching, sports, etc. But of course, Lucy is soon forced away from the comforts of the vaults and into the “real world” of the surface.

When raiders lay siege to Vault 33 and take her father (the shelter supervisor) away, Lucy embarks on a life-changing journey through the wastelands of America. During this time, she meets a variety of colorful characters, including demons, an organ-harvesting robot, a pair of cannibals, and more.

However, over the course of eight episodes, Lucy doesn't actually engage in much violence. She shoots some Radroaches at Maximus and performs some mercy killings, but generally prefers to use her words instead of her weapons.

So if Lucy leveled up the same way video game characters do, what level would she be at at the end of the first season? This is the question posed by social media user Fallout Films, which Fallout fans have been arguing about ever since.

While some amateurs say Lucy could be “between level 12 and 17”, the most it seems that feel it would probably be less than that, and probably below level 10. This is due to the perceived amount of 'side quests' it does, its lack of combat (“you will die if you run into mutant or bloodthirsty robots”, a fan noticed) and the places he discovers.

Generally, Fallout fans have said that Lucy would be between level five and nine. “The Fallout TV series presumably follows Bethesda's rules, and so we can reasonably assume that the ratio of combat XP to quest XP will lean heavily toward combat. This goes against the speed of Lucy's leveling”, X user Lots of real nerds he reflected.

They suggested that Lucy was using the equivalent of a survival mode, but “based solely on the ease with which that bear reached for a 10mm pistol, we have to assume that the TV series is playing on a low difficulty, which is inconsistent with survival mechanics.” Many A Real Nerd continued. “So I guess we also have to assume that the TV series is a modified play.

“Even taking into account the survival mode XP bonus, it's hard to see her having more than 4000 – 5000 XP the entire journey, with probably an extra 1000 added for completing the main quest. That would put her at level 8, and I'm sorry “I'm being generous.”

I have to say, having finished the series, I think I agree with that assessment. What level do you think Lucy would be in the Fallout series finale?
