Final Fantasy 16 Crossover Event Seems to Hint at Final Fantasy 14 Graphics Update

The Final Fantasy 16 Crossover Mission is now available in Final Fantasy 14 and appears to give a glimpse at what the upcoming 7.0 graphics update will look like.

The quest features FF16 protagonist Clive and is a must for dog fans, as rewards include a Torgal mount and a Torgal pup minion.

However, fans have also noticed how detailed Clive's character model is, ahead of the graphics update with improved lighting and textures that will arrive alongside the upcoming Dawntrail expansion.

The crossover event was announced at the Fan Fest event in London last year, alongside the reveal of the new Viper Job coming to Dawntrail.

To begin the quest line, you will need to have finished A Realm Reborn and be level 50. Then speak to the Neophyte Adventurer in Ul'Dah to begin.

You will eventually meet Clive and immediately realize that his character model is a step up from the others. The detail on his hair and armor is sharper and more complex than other characters.

Many online are impressed with the character model, even if it doesn't live up to the Final Fantasy 16 original.

And of course, the thirst is real.

Clive himself has also given some clear advice.

The crossover event, The hellish roadIt is a limited time mission that ends on May 8.

Meanwhile, Dawntrail launches on July 2 with early access available a week early.
