A son, a father and a brother were lost too soon.
Sean Garingerthat appeared on MTV 16 and pregnant, died following an all-terrain vehicle accident on February 28 at his home in Boone, North Carolina. He was 20 years old.
“Sean, affectionately known as 'Squishy,' was a military brat who touched lives across the country,” his obituary says. “He never met a stranger, no matter how old he was, and he was always willing to help. His kind and generous nature endeared him to everyone who knew him.”
It continues: “Sean had a passion for living life to the fullest. His adventurous spirit and love of excitement were evident in all aspects of his life.”
After his death, Garinger's mother Mary Hobbs detailed the events that led to the tragedy.
“He was just moving [the ATV] from one parking spot to another for me, so I can get back to the parking lot,” said to US Sun March 1. “Shot [in] “In front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud.”
Hobbs went on to explain how the ATV rolled over on top of his son and how he tried to get help from a neighbor to move the vehicle, before realizing Garinger was already dead.
