What the hell? The absurd corridor from the What the Car? studio heading to steam

What the hell? Developer Triband brings its absurd racing game What the Car? coming to Steam later this year, following its debut last May as an Apple Arcade exclusive.

What a car? follows in the wonderfully silly footsteps of What the Golf? – and, indeed, its VR-exclusive, baseball-inspired successor, What the Bat? – taking a relatively sensible sport (in this case racing) and taking it to the extreme.

If you've long thought that racing games would be so much better if the cars had legs and the racing was spiced up a little with some cooking, jumping, CAR-aoke or even fishing, then What the Car? It's probably just what you're looking for.

What a car? Steam announcement trailer.

With “hundreds” of unique levels, it's a game of constant, comical reinvention, sometimes challenging players to complete races (which usually require more than just getting from A to B) with ridiculously long legs, perhaps, or while riding a bicycle (that is, like a car with legs, riding a bicycle), like a ball, a boat, an unwieldy limousine, and so on.

Between races, there are islands to explore, characters to befriend, puzzles to solve, and even treasures to find; Plus, you can create your own What the Car? levels, share them with friends and even try to climb the leaderboards of other players' creations.

There is no exact arrival date for What a car? in steam for the moment, but it will arrive at the end of this year.
