He Digital Foundry Support Program has grown again with the arrival of a new show exclusively for patrons. He is a companion of direct DF – hilariously titled DF InDirect – and its initial format should be recognizable to viewers/listeners of our weekly show as it is an extension of our existing Q&A section for fans. The show is available to all backers at all levels and is available to watch or listen to right now, and there is a small sample on this page.
The idea for InDirect came about because of the many great fan questions we receive each week. The truth is that we have too many to answer in the main program (which is already over two hours), while some of the questions require a bit of research before we have to answer. In the current environment, YouTube's revenue is declining and the idea of being totally dependent on an algorithm-based platform over which we have no control has always been daunting to us. We don't make clickbait titles, we don't make killer thumbnails, and sponsorships are few and far between. All of these things have been proven to work, but they are not right for us.
